Miss Highberger was the last of her family, and the third to die in the home within the past twelve months. A sister, Miss Frances, died about a year ago and a brother, Robert, a short time later.
Miss Highberger was born and reared in Sharpsburg and was a daughter of Samuel and Helen Boyd Highberger.
She taught public school in the county for thirty years and later was employed in the Veteran's Bureau in Washington for fifteen years.
She was a devout and active member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Sharpsburg and served as church organist for years.
Funeral services will be held at the Leaf Funeral Home in Sharpsburg Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock with the Rev. Walter B. McKinley officiating. Burial will be made in Mountain View Cemetery.
