OPELOUSAS - A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, May 14, 2011, at Global House of Praise Refuge Center, 268 Pacific Street, in Port Barre, LA., for Mr. Linsey Joseph Albert, Jr., 76, who entered eternal rest, Wednesday, May 4, 2011, at Opelousas General Health System in Opelousas, LA.
Interment will be in Bellevue Memorial Park in Opelousas, LA. Rev. Bobby Gradney will officiate at the services.
Mr. Albert is survived by his children, three sons, Kenneth D. Albert and wife, Deborah of Port Arthur, TX., Marcus Turner (Albert) and companion, Brandy of Opelousas, LA. and Joseph Albert of Houston, TX.; two sisters, Joanne A. Pickney and husband, Joseph and Eula Mae Thomas and husband, Gordon both of Opelousas, LA.; 5 grandchildren, Triana, Sade', Shamari, Bailey and Briara; 1 great grandchild, Kendrick and a host of other relatives and friends.
Mr. Albert was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Willie B. Brown Albert; parents, Linsey J. Albert, Sr. & Evelina Myers Albert; two sisters, Beaulah A. Sam and Helen A. Ventress and one brother, Ventress "Co" Albert.
