Betty Lou Brown 82 of Osceola, In. passed away on Saturday September 8, 2012 at the St Joseph Regional Medical Center in Mishawaka with her family at her bedside.
Betty was born on October 25, 1929 in Jefferson County Il. the daughter of the late Raymond "Gabe" and Susie (Baker) Meyers.
On December 21, 1946, Betty married Rev. Dale Rostwll Brown in Morganfield KY. Betty and Dale shared sixty five years of commitment to each other. Dale survives Betty along with her sons, Ronald Dale and wife Norma Brown of Bloomgton Il. Roger Alan and wife Teresa Brown of Osceola IN. and daughter Sherry Darlene and husband Walter Hogan of Bristow VA.
Betty was a proud loving and caring grandmother to seven grandchildren, Ronda, Brian, Shannin, Jacilynn, Anthony, Ryan, and Dustin. and sixteen great grandchildren, two sisters, Maxine Bumpus, June Mandrell and brother Bill Meyers preceded Betty in Death.
Betty and Dale were members of the Church if God in Elkhart In. Betty enjoyed knitting and crocheting in her younger years. Betty also loved to read . betty was a devoted pastors wife, mother, granmother and sister to her family whom she cherished and prayed for daily.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday September 11, 2012 from 5-8p.m. at the Bubb Funeral Chapel 3910 N Main St Mishawaka, The funeral service will be officated by grandson, Shannon Hogan on Friday September 14 at 1p.m. (central time) with 2 hours visitation prior to the service at the Newell Funeral Home in Mount Vernon Il. 2707 North St. Burial is to follow the service at the Wolf Prairie Cemetery in Mount Vernon IL.
