He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps in the South Pacific during WWII.
Following the war he moved to Albuquerque, where he met and married Leona Kulcsar in 1950. They purchased their home in Los Ranchos de Albuquerque, living there happily together for 53 years.
He retired from Sandia National Laboratories in 1980, where he was employed for 32 years, heading the electronics shop and electronics apprenticeship program. He was a member for 46 years at the American Legion Post 13. He loved the outdoors, camping, fishing and hunting with family and friends. He also enjoyed crosswords, card games, reading, music and art, especially the performances and works of his grandchildren, daughters and son-in-laws.
His love for the natural beauty of New Mexico, and above all, his love for his family, are his lasting legacy to us.
Services held Saturday, November 22, 10:00 a.m., at St. Luke Lutheran Church, 9100 Menaul NE, with Pastor Beth Purdum officiating.
Interment at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul NE.
