Mrs. Vernon Hammond, 26, of 135 Madison Avenue passed away Monday afternoon at 4 pm at the Clarksdale Hospital following a short illness.
The funeral services will be held Wednesday pm at 3 o'clock at the McInnis Porter Funeral Home with Rev. C.V. Curtis, pastor of the Methodist Church officiating. Interment will follow in Oakridge Cemetery.
The deceased is survived by her husband and two sons, Vernon, Jr. aged 8 years and Hugh Wood, age 5.
The friends who will serve as pallbearers are: W.D. Hilton of Parchman, Jake Bush of Duncan, O. Hays, Louis Rivers, A.G. Skene and Joe Noe of Clarksdale.
