She was born on March 17, 1938, at Lyons, Neb., to Lee and Alice (Shawver) Besst Sr. She attended her schooling at Lyons, Neb., and moved to Potlatch, Idaho, with her family in 1949. She graduated from the Potlatch High School in 1957.
She married Roger W. Domini in 1963 and the couple were later divorced.
She married Kenny Carter on April 3, 1982, at Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, and the couple made their home at Potlatch, Idaho. Kenny operated the Farmer and Logger Supply Company in Potlatch until his retirement in 1995. Mr. Carter died in October 2009.
Jerri worked at the Crescent Department Store in Spokane, Wash., from 1957 until 1967.
She was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church at Potlatch, Princeton Community Club. She enjoyed cooking for family activities and quilting. She also enjoyed fishing and camping and sitting on the home deck at Potlatch.
Survivors include two sons, Bill Domini of Spokane Valley, and Todd Domini and his wife Kim of Lacey, Wash.; one stepson, Michael Carter and his wife Sharolon of Potlatch; a stepdaughter, Renee Hamilton of Clarkston; her mother, Alice Besst of Moscow; one brother, Ardell Besst and Linda of Tacoma; one sister, Joy Gannaway and Joe of Colbert, Wash.; and seven grandchildren.
Memorials may be given to the Grace Lutheran Church at Potlatch or to the Potlatch Ambulance Fund.
