Mary Beth Sterling, 79, of Bremond, passed away peacefully at Hillcrest Hospital in Waco on Oct. 3, 2012, after a brief illness. The family will receive visitors from 5 to 8 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 6, at Bremond Funeral Home in Bremond. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 7, at First Baptist Church in Bremond with interment to follow at Heards Prairie-Petteway Cemetery, east of Bremond.

Mary Beth was born in Robertson County, Texas, to the late Mack Robert and Mary Eula (Forson) McKinney, one of 17 children. She was the beloved wife of Herman Lee White for over 48 years. On April 13, 2002, she married John Earl Sterling who was a childhood friend.

Mary Beth was preceded in death by her first husband, Herman, on May 6, 1999; and second husband, John, on August 31, 2002; and all of her brothers and sisters.

She will forever be remembered by her devoted children, Marietta Lawson and husband, Homer, of Axtell, Sue Yezak and husband, Leon Jr., of Marlin, Jan Hughes, of Easterly, Rodger White and wife, Paula, of Bremond, Jay White and wife, Barbara, of Bremond, and Farah Robinson and husband, Bo, of LaVernia, Texas; 21 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; along with countless other friends and family.
