A. L. Bennett Died Thursday
A. L. Bennett, age 76, former resident of Pluto died at the home of his daughter Mrs. J. T. Ballengee at Jumping Branch yesterday at 5:15 o'clock of double pneumonia. He is survived by six sons and two daughters as follows: John R. Bennett of Mt. Hope, Calloway and Simon of Claypool, George and Sammie of this city, Ed of Pluto, Mrs. J. T. Ballengee of Madams Creek and Mrs. Rachel Harrow of Sandstone. Mr. Bennett was well known and highly respected in the neighborhood where he lived. His wife preceded him to the grave five years ago. Mr. Bennett was a member of the Methodist church for fourty years.
Funeral service will be held in the family cemetery near Pluto at four o'clock.
