Mr. Joseph Cephus Reynolds, 82, of 268 Gray Street, Danville, VA went to be with his Lord in his sleep. He had been in ill health for several years.

A native of Callands, VA, he was the son of the late Cephus Wilson Reynolds and Tabitha Wells Reynolds. He spent most of his life in Danville where he served as High Constable until his retirement.

He was a member of County Line Christain Church.

He first married Mary Ellen Barbour, who died many years ago. He was later married to Dora Ann Rickman.

Besides his wife of the home, he is survived by two daughters Mrs. Christina Love Pittman of Newport News, VA and Mrs. Anne R Reynolds of Richmond, VA, one sister Mrs. Emma Reynolds of Callands, two grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at Townes Memorial Chapel in Danville.
