James Lee Bailey of Lindsay, Oklahoma passed from this life on Sunday, February 13th, 2011 at Deaconess Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 70. James was born on February 6, 1941 to Jesse James Bailey and Thelma Lee (Chapman) Bailey in Duncan, Oklahoma. He married Dorothy Marie Smith on April 10th, 1962 in Ada, Oklahoma.

James worked as a farmer and as a floor hand on oilfield rigs. He worked on swabbing units for Lindsey Well Service, Inc. and Flint Oilfield Service. James was a member of the First Assembly of God in Lindsay, Oklahoma. He loved raising cattle and horses, taking walks and ministering to people in nursing homes and hospitals and to those in the surrounding communities.

Mr. Bailey is survived by his wife, Dorothy Marie Bailey, three daughters; Jeannie Moore and husband Wayne, Nancy Bailey and Kim Berry, two sons; Mike Bailey and wife Paula and Steve Bailey and wife Tonya and three brothers; Buck Bailey, M.L. Bailey and Melvin Bailey. James also leaves behind six grandchildren; Kylie Renee Bailey, Stevie Leigh-Ann Bailey, A. J. Bailey, Jesse Ray Bailey, Brandon Matthew Bailey, Kay-Lynn Marie Moore.
Mr. Bailey was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse James Bailey and Thelma Lee (Chapman) Bailey and his two sisters, Bernice Herrington and Lois Herrington.

A memorial service for Mr. Bailey is set for one o'clock p.m. on Wednesday, February 16th, 2011 at Fellowship of Livng Faith Church located at 206 S. Main in Lindsay, Oklahoma with Rev. Danny Daniels officiating.
