Funeral services for Mr. Royd Cloyd Wiley will be at 10:00 AM Friday, October 5, 2012 at Larto Apostolic Church in Larto, La. with Rev. Joey Paul, Clay Hutton, Chris Hamilton and Todd Tucker officiating. Interment will follow in the Nichols Cemetery at Larto, La. under the direction of Hixson Brothers of Jena. Visitation will be from 5pm until on Thursday, October 4, 2012 at the church.
Mr. Wiley, 83, of Larto, La. was born on February 22, 1929 to the union of Allen and Mary Alwell Wiley and passed from this life on October 2, 2012 at his residence.
He was a member of Larto Apostolic Church for 40 years. A commercial fisherman for 70 years, built fishing nets, a farmer of hogs and rabbits and enjoyed playing the Guitar for many years and singing in the church.
Survivors include his Wife of 14 yrs. Grace Smith Wiley of Larto; Sons, Jerry Wiley and wife Clara of Mayna and Donovan Wiley and wife Kimberly of Jonesville; Daughters, Sue Melton and husband Richard of Larto and LaDonna Babin and husband Michael of San Ramon CA; Step-Children, Melinda Willis of Larto, Louis Clark and wife Deana and Marvin Clark and wife Rafalie, all of Forest Hill, LA; Brother, A.C. "Little Bud" Wiley of Deville, LA; Six Grandchildren and Three Great Grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jeremy Wiley, Jason Wiley, Robb Wiley, Stormy Willis, Dustin Clark and Titus Mire. Honorary pallbearers will be Jacob Clark and Nathan Clark.
