Elsie M. Tournear, 98, of Macomb, , (formerly of Camp Point and Quincy) died at 5:02 a.m. Saturday, October 3, 2009 in Wesley Village in Macomb.

Born September 9, 1911, in Brown County, Illinois. Mrs Tournear was a daughter of Jesse and Bertha M. Klingler Taylor. She married Ernest R. Tournear March 31, 1928, in Columbus, Illinois. He preceded her in death.

Mrs. Tournear had been employed at Weems Laundry and Dry Cleaning and later worked at the Faith Assembly of God Daycare. She was a member of Faith Assembly of God Church in Quincy for over 40 years.

Survivors include son, Arnold Tournear (Marilyn), Quincy; a daughter, Rosie Curtis (Larry), Macomb Il.; sister Letha Swango, Quincy, niece, Carol Meyers, Quincy; two nephews, Roger Swango, Colorado and Paul Swango, Quincy; 9 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and several great great granchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, a daughter, Geraldine Kindhart and her husband Raymond; a daughter Marjray in infancy; a sister, Mamie Pate, and a brother, Lloyd Taylor.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday morning at 10:00 at the Lummis-Hamilton Funeral Home in Camp Point by Rev. V. Lee Amsler. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery in Quincy.

Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Lummis-Hamilton Furneral home in Camp Point.
