FULTON – David Armstrong, 83, died Tuesday, July 31, 2001, at the North Mississippi Medical Center. He was born Oct. 23, 1917, in Maryville, Tenn., to the Rufus Delvin Armstrong and Hattie Mae Cleek Armstrong. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a supervisor at Genesco.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Senter Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Billy Adams and the Rev. Gene Asbury officiating. Burial will be in Itawamba Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include his wife, Lillian Armstrong of Fulton; a son, Ricky Armstrong of Fulton; four grandchildren, David Stevens, Candice Cox, Jacob Armstrong and Lindsay Armstrong; three great-grandchildren, Michael Stevens, Tyler Stevens and Kailey Cox.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Stevens; a son, Jacky Armstrong; and a sister, Ella Snell.
Pallbearers will be Bob Tipps, Robert Tipps, Gary Hemreck, Romie Wilemon and Terry Johnson.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today and from 7:30 a.m. to service time Thursday.
