MRS. LOOMIS DEHORITY DIES AT COLUMBUS, OHIO
Mrs. Fay DeHority, 37, wife of James Loomis DeHority, of Elwood, died at a Columbus, Ohio hospital at 11:30 o'clock last night, following a Caesarian operation. An infant daughter lived but a brief time. News of the sad death was received in a telephone message by W. A. DeHority, father-in-law of the deceased.
Mrs. DeHority was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Warneck, of Columbus, Ohio, and had gone to that city a week ago last Tuesday to make a visit to her parents. Shortly after her arrival she suffered an attack of inflammatory rheumatism, which affected the heart. She was removed to the hospital and everything done to improve her condition without result. The operation was performed as a last hope of prolonging her life.
Elwood friends will learn with sincere regret of the death of this lovable woman and extend sincere sympathy to the bereaved relatives. She was united in marriage to James Loomis DeHority in 1922. Surviving are the husband and one son, James Edwin, three years of age, and the parents.
Funeral Director Milton York, accompanied by W. A. DeHority, left for Columbus this morning and will bring the body to this city for burial. There will be a brief service at the home of the parents at Columbus Sunday afternoon, which several Elwood relatives will attend.
The body will be brought direct to the M. E. church here Monday and funeral services will be conducted there at 3 p.m., by the pastor, Rev. H. C. Harman. Burial will be in the city cemetery.
