MRS. CALLIE BAKER
Mrs. Callie Baker, 91, of 303 W. Stayton, resident of Victoria since 1920, died at 12:05 a.m. Monday in a local hospital following a short illness.
Mrs. Baker, the daughter of the late Harrison Wayne and Mildred K. Ball, was born Feb. 23, 1879, in Sharp County, Ark. She came to Texas in 1895, and lived near Edna before moving to Victoria.
Her husband, Henry C. Baker, died many years ago.
She was a member of Downtown Church of Christ.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Duckett Funeral Home Chapel, with Brother J. H. Peeples of Downtown Church of Christ officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Survivors include two daughters, Miss Vada Baker of Victoria and Mrs. William C. Leuschneer of Corpus Christi; a grandson, William C. Leuschner III, of Calgary, Alberta, Canada; and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be John Bianchi, Claude Quarles, V. E. Atkinson, Dennis Quarles, O. R. Timme and Marvin Salziger.
