Effie worked for Mt. Bell (later AT&T) for 43 years. She was a member of the AT&T Pioneer Club. She was an avid bowler and golfer and Effie loved to shop. She was also an avid Siamese cat lover.
Effie was known for her sense of humor, was always quick with a joke and putting people in their place.
Effie is survived by 2 of her 4 children, Bonnie (Ron) Van Ausdal and Bill Furniss; 16 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 30 great-great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-great –grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Roberta (Roy) West.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three sisters, Jean, Ruth and Marie and two children, Lynda and Kent.
