When Mr. Buelow was an infant both his parents died. His father was a soldier during the Civil War, fighting for the North, was captured by a band of guerilla's and burned to death. The deceased was raised as an orphan in an orphanage and in private homes.
In the year 1883 he was married to Miss Sarah Bell Sanders. To this union two girls were born, Grace and Bell. Grace met an early death in an accident in Milwaukee in 1914. Mr. Buelow lost his wife in the year 1886 and entered the second time into the state of matrimony with Miss Mary Hoefs. The ceremony was performed on April 19, 1891. To this marriage was born Leona, who died in infancy, Inez, Verona, Henry, Leo and Rex. The Buelow family joined the St. John's church in 1894.
