on October 3, 2012:

Georgiana E. 'Nan', age 88, of Shakopee, died on Monday, October 1, 2012, at Augustana Emerald Crest in Shakopee. The family wishes to extend a special 'thank you' to the staff at Emeral Crest.
Nan was born in Cologne, MN on July 28, 1924, the daughter of Albert and Eleanor (Roufs) Schepers. She married Eugene Moonen on November 11, 1944, in Cologne. Nan was a Charter member of the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary in Shakopee; she was very active at Church of St. Mary in Shakopee; she was a member of St. Anne's Catholic Aid Society in Cologne; bingo, fishing, golfing, bowling, playing cards, and doing crafts were some of her many interests.
Survived by husband, Gene; sons, Terry (Nancy) and Tim; daughter, Mary Jo King; 9 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Karen; 4 sisters and 2 brothers. Preceded in death by daughter, Diane Schaum; son, David; and a sister.

Services: Mass of Christian Burial Friday 10 AM at Church of St. Mary, Shakopee. Presiding is the Reverend James Schoenberger. Pallbearers are Nan's grandchildren, Trish Erkenbrack, Brent Moonen, Jeanne Schaum, Tim Moonen, Krysten King Elhert, Jason King, Jessica Schultz, Nick Moonen, and Jesse Lyn Moonen. Interment Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation: Visitation Thursday from 4-8 PM, and Friday from 8:30-9:30 AM, at McNearney Funeral Home, 1220 E. 3rd Ave., Shakopee.
Memorials: The family prefers memorials.
