A native of Clarendon County, he was born December 24, 1930, and was a son of the late Phillip Boone Reardon and the late Mary Lorina Reardon.
Mr. Reardon was retired from the South Carolina Highway Department where he was employed with the Survey Crew as an Engineer.
He was a communicant of Saint Anthony Roman Catholic Church in Walterboro and Knights' of Columbus. He will be remembered for his love of hunting and fishing.
Surviving are: his wife of fifty years, Mrs. Alma Jean Pinckney Reardon; two sons, James Hugh Strickland of Walterboro and John Strickland of Anderson; four daughters, Nancy Berelc and husband Don of Hartwell, GA, Kathie Ard and husband Allen of Andrews, Mary Lyons of St. George, and Gloria Todd and husband Ernie of Conway; one sister, Nell Welch of Goose Creek; fifteen grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted 11AM, October 4, 2012, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro with The Reverend Fr. Jeffery Kendall officiating. The Final Commendation and Farewell will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Walterboro.
