Ethel S. Shank, 86, of York, died Wednesday evening at York Hospital, after a brief illness. She was the wife of Robert H. Shank, who died Jan. 13, 1991.

The service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the LeRoy R. Leber Funeral Home Inc., 2290 School St., Shiloh. Burial will be in Shiloh Cemetery. Viewing will be 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Shank was born on Feb. 6, 1908. She was the daughter of the late William A. and Elverta E. (Hoke) Eisenhower.

She was a secretary for the York City School District for 42 years, prior to her retirement.

A life member of the York County Retired Teachers Association, she belonged to the Pennsylvania Association of School Retirees, the National Retired Teachers Association and the White Rose Lodge 15 Fraternal Order of Police Ladies Auxiliary.

She also was a member of Heidelberg United Church of Christ, the American Association of Retired Persons Chapter 24 and the Manor Club. She graduated from William Penn Senior High School with the Class of 1926.

Mrs. Shank is survived by nieces and nephews.
