LOUIS P. MAGNIA
Louis P. Magnia, 54, of Inez, native of Victoria, died at 1:30 p.m. Sunday in a hospital in Houston following a short illness.
Mr. Magnia, a farmer, was born April 24, 1916 in Victoria, and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. He was a veteran of World War II.
He was the son of the late Angelo J. and Mary Maraggia Magnia.
Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with the Rev. Clarence Leopold officiating. The body will lie in state at the church from 9 until 10 a.m. Tuesday. McCabe-Carruth Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include a son, Daylon Magnia, of Victoria; eight sisters, Mrs. E. T. Sturm of Beeville, Mrs. Ralph Georgie and Mrs. W. C. Miller of Victoria, Mrs. Elizabeth Cooper of Puerta Rica, Calif., Mrs. W. F. Buzek of Inez, Mrs. M. A. Pulciani of West Haven, Conn., Mrs. C. J. Tidwell of Houston, and Mrs. Bruce Miller of Uvalde; two brothers, Kyle Magnia of Houston and Daniel Magnia of Victoria; and one grandson.
