He married Ila Mae Walker, a native of Fayette County, Alabama on the 1st day of July, 1920 in Eccles, Raleigh County, West Virginia. They apparently divorced, because he married Ila again on the 24th day of December, 1921 in Beckley, Raleigh County, West Virginia. George and Ila also divorced a second time.
George and Ila had one known child:
James Edgar Dangerfield (1921-2004)
George married Densie Ammond Hall on 23rd day of February, 1928 in Beckley, Raleigh County, West Virginia. They appear to of had no surviving children.
