Mary married Enoch Lycan, a farmer in Burlington County, NJ. Enoch was a British Loyalist and fought with the NJ Volunteers. When his property was confiscated, the family moved to Staten Island where their son John was born. He was granted a Royal land grant in Canada as post-war compensation for his loyalty to the crown. He later arrived in New Brunswick and then onto Kingsclear, Canada.
Mary and Enoch are buried in a now unmarked grave on the site of the Battle of Lundys Lane, of which portions became Drummond Hill Cemetery near Niagra.
