Death of Mrs. Millar
Mrs. Agnes G. Millar passed away at Hastings Saturday night at 11 o'clock after a six months illness. On May 24 last she was taken sick with a stroke of paralysis which resulted in hemorrhage of the brain and since that time she has been helpless.

Mrs. Millar was born in Edinburgh, Scotland, on July 5, 1850, being 58 years of age. For a good many years she lived at Buffalo, Wyo., for a while in Lincoln and has made Grand Island her home for nearly six years. She leaves besides her husband a daughter Miss Mamie Millar, formerly conducting a dairy on West Koenig street, and a son who is editor of the Hudson Minor of Hudson, Wyo. The remains have been brought to this city and the funeral will take place Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Presbyterian church. The many friends of the family join them in their hour of sadness.

The obsequies over the remains of Mrs. Tom Millar were held yesterday afternoon from the Presbyterian church, the pastor, Rev. J.G.G. Graham, officiating, and comforting the mourning ones with ever consoling promises of the Scriptures when all else fails to comfort. The speaker took as a theme the firm conviction of the Psalmist of the complete satisfaction of the soul upon awakening in rightousness. The rightous, noble life of the deceased was assurance reassuring that her soul was satisfied, and the knowledge was impressed upon the bereaved ones as the solace that should heal the wounds of the stricken heart. A quartet sang "Lead Kindly Light," "Abide With Me", and "Nearer My God to Thee" during the services and at the close the remains were silently born to the Grand Island cemetery. The grief stricken husband and daughters have the heartfelt sympathy of a host of friends.
