Victoria "Vicki" Zelehoski McDonald, 72, passed away on June 10, 2009 after 2½ years battle with cancer. Vicki was born and raised in Bound Brook and was formerly of Neshanic for many years before moving to St. Petersburg, FL, and recently residing in New Port Richey, FL for the past 10 years. She attended Trenton State Teachers College, Rutgers University and Syracuse University. She was employed as the Township Clerk for Hillsborough Township, NJ, Also serving as its Administrator for several years; City Clerk/Administrator for Redington Beach, FL and City Clerk/Finance Director for Belleair Beach, FL. Fort the past 8 years she served as the City Clerk for her beloved city of New Port Richey. She served as President of the Pinellas County Clerk's Association as well as the Pasco County Municipal Clerk's Association. She was dedicated to her profession and served on many of the committees of the International Municipal Clerk's Assoc. Vicki also served as Eucharistic Minister at St. Thomas Aquinas. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
She was predeceased by her son, John "Jay" Lapotasky, who died in 1987. Surviving are her beloved husband, Thomas, and their four children, Karen Ash and husband Alan, Barbara Bauman and husband Damian, Thomas McDonald and wife Laura, Sean McDonald and wife Elizabeth; and 7 grandchildren, Christopher, Brandon, Dylan, Sean, Lauren, Holly and Allison.
Funeral services will be 12 noon Monday, June 22, 2009 at St. Bernard Mausoleum in Bridgewater.
