Fred Eirich, 65, of 1108 N. 10th St, died at 5 a.m. today at St. Nicholas Hospital, of a recurring illness.
Born Nov. 9, 1897 in Rhinewald, Russia, he was a son of the late Peter and Marie Eirich. At the age of 12, he came with his family to the United States, settling in Sheboygan.
He attended Trinity Lutheran School here and on Jan. 11, 1919, married Miss Sophie Arnst at Trinity Lutheran Church.
He was self-employed in, the hauling business for 25 years. Survivors in addition to his wife are four sons, Edwin, Rudolph, Clarence and Marvin Eirich, all of Sheboygan; one daughter, Mrs. Marvin (Edna) Claus of Sheboygan; 10 grandchildren; and two sisters Mrs. Katherine Repphun of Sheboygan and Mrs. Christina Lartz of Waukesha. He also was preceded in death by one grandson, two brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Ballhorn's Funeral Chapels with the Rev. Arthur J. Fischer, pastor of Bethel Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral chapels after 4 p.m. Tuesday.
