Mrs. Elizabeth Lautenschlager, 86, died at her home, 299 Sawyer avenue, Monday evening at 8 o'clock. Her death was due to the infirmities incident to her advanced age. Mrs. Lautenschlager, nee Pfaffenroth, was born at Jajodnajah in the German Volga district of Russia, Oct. 1, 1850. She was married there to John Adam Lautenschlager, Jan. 10, 1869.
She came to this country with her husband in March, 1901. They lived in Oshkosh for six years and moved to Leodi, Kansas, where they resided for seven years. She had lived in Oshkosh continuously since 1914. Her husband died in May, 1933. Mrs. Lautenschlager was a member of Zion Lutheran church and of the Ladies Aid society of the church.
Survivors are seven children: John Lautenschlager, Mrs. Henry Pfaffenroth, and Adam Lautenschlager, Oshkosh; Mrs. Phillip Hartman, who lives in Wyoming; Henry Lautenschlager, Kenosha; Conrad Lautenschlager, Oshkosh; and George Lautenschlager, Kenosha. Also surviving are 44 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the home and at 2 o'clock at Zion Lutheran church. The Rev. Leo Oberleiter will officiate. Burial will be at Lake View Memorial park. Friends may call at the home Wednesday afternoon and until the time of the services.
