Mustered Aug. 22, 1862. Wounded slightly Dec. 7, 1863 in Prairie Grove, Arkansas. Discharged for disability Feb. 23, 1868 in Springfield, MO.

George W. Daniels was killed by being shot dead by Francis Winney, in a quarrel, on the morning of September 3d, 1885, at his residence about five miles northwest from Cedar Rapids, in Clinton township. He was a native of Pennsylvania, was 42 years old and a farmer by occupation.
