Son of Philip and Phila Grist Huntington; married Margaretta Dunlap Perit September 30, 1830 at Norwich, Connecticut.

From The Huntington Family in America: A Genealogical Memoir of the Known Descendants of Simon Huntington from 1633 to 1915, Including Those who Have Retained the Family Name, and Many Bearing Other Surnames; pg. 147; Huntington Family Association, Samuel Huntington, Richard Thomas Huntington; Huntington family association, 1915:

He was a merchant. He was elected Town Clerk February 14, 1825, to succeed his father who died February 4. The office of town clerk seems to have been handed down from father to son, as Christopher Huntington, the first male child born in Norwich, was elected town clerk, to succeed Richard Bushnell, and the office was held by Isaac, his son, from December 6, 1726, to January 9, 1764. His son, Benjamin, succeeded him March 5, 1764, and held the office to September 11, 1801, when he resigned in favor of his son Phillip, who held the office until his death, February 4, 1825. His son, Benjamin, held the office until October, 1830, when the office was removed to the City of Norwich.

Children (born in Norwich Town, Conn.):
John Webster Perit; a son, born and died March 24, 1833; Margaret Dunlap; Pelatiah Webster; Benjamin Newton, born May 21, 1838; married, September 3, 1862, Sarah T. McMahon. No children; a son, born and died February 18, 1840; Sara Leaming; Thomas Dunlap; Henry Clay, born January 11, 1848, and died February 19, 1848.
