When Flo was about 4 her Leinbach family moved to St. Joseph County, Michigan from near McEwensville, Northumberland Co., PA. They family lived in Constantine, Mich until her father died in 1873 as did her brother Frank S. She married in 1877 Homer D. Begin and in 1880 they lived in McHenry County, Illinois and about 1884 they moved to Kansas. Sounds like her husband Homer died abt 1885 and in 1886 She marries her 2nd husband John W. Karr & they lived in Grant Twp, Reno County, KS on a 160 acre farm. In 1902 on one of the old atlas they gave the location of the place as Section 5 which is just NW of Nickerson, KS. By 1918 the family had moved into the town of Nickerson where her brother Erastus B. Leinbach was also living. Florence was the mother of 4. Her son Frank H. Begun ends up in Oregon, Sons Arthur C. & John W. Carr went west to California and her daughter Grace stayed in Kansas. Went to College at the University of Kansas & also U. of Calif. She was a H.S. Teacher in Winfield, KS and never married. Two of Flora sisters stay in Michigan, Sarah R. Leiser & Emma C. Schaeffer & as did their oldest brother Henry S. Leinbach. Three of her sister lived in Wichita, KS Anna Youngs, Ada Mallow, & Minnie Everett, & her mother Mattie died there in 1900. Still looking to find out what happened to her brother George B.
