William Edens was born in Hawkins County, Tennessee to John Edens & Frances "Fanny" Monk Edens. The family moved to settle in Benton County, Arkansas about 1867. William married Eliza about 1860 and they had children: John H Edens; William A "Doc" Edens; Henry Harrison Edens; Thomas Edens; Ida Edens Denbo; Walter A Edens; Fred Edens; Matthew Edens; Charlie Edens & Edward or Edgar Edens.
After Eliza died he married Emma Jennie Senter on 12 August 1909 in Oklahoma.
