Mr. Kenneth Justus Holland, 85, of 2064 Whitmell School Road, went to be with his Lord and Savior on his 85th birthday, August 27, 2012, after a decline in health for the past two months.

Born on August 27, 1927, in Pittsylvania County, he was the son of the late Charlie Franklin Holland and Hattie Blanche Wells Holland.

Mr. Holland spent all of his life in the Whitmell Community of Pittsylvania County where he along with his brother, J.T., ran Holland Brothers Grocery from 1958-1987.

He was an active member of Whitmell Christian Church where he served as chairman, elder, treasurer, and choir member.

He was associated with Wrenn-Yeatts Funeral Homes for 59 years. He was an avid Atlanta Braves fan.

On March 12, 1947, he married his loving devoted wife of 65 years, Pauline Motley Holland, who survives.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Charles "Chip" Holland, and wife, Jo Ann of Dry Fork; Gary W. Holland, of Rocky Mount; four sisters, Elise H. Motley, of Danville; Iva Jeane H. Barber, of Dry Fork; Marie H. McNeely, of Chatham; Elaine H. Cranford, of Greensboro, N.C.; one brother, Clarence Holland, and wife, Faye of Dry Fork; three grandchildren, Kenneth "Jay" Holland, Kelsey Holland, Joshua Holland; one step-grandchild, Crystal Barrett.

He was predeceased by one sister, Lois H. Allen, four brothers, John T Holland, Kermit Holland, Clyde Holland and Carroll Holland.

Funeral services were held at the Wrenn-Yeatts Westover Chapel conducted by Pastor Tim Oakes and the Reverend Allen Holder.

Interment followed in Highland Burial Park, Danville, VA.
