86-year-old Clay City resident, Charles H. "Hank" Tibbs died at 3:25 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 30 at his home.

Charles was born on April 8, 1926 in Fairfield, Illinois, the son of Charlie Tibbs and Camille (Walter). He married Wanda Maxine Murbarger on May 26, 1944 in Wayne City, Illinois.

Charles was a United States Air Force Veteran and a member of Clay City Christian Church.

He is survived by his wife, Maxine Tibbs; daughter, Linda Riley; daughter, Barbara Heath; daughter, Rhonda Weidner; daughter, Tina Hopson; brothers, John Tibbs, Delbert Tibbs, Robert Tibbs, Tom Tibbs, Ronnie Tibbs and Walter Ray Tibbs; sisters, Laura Mae Wynn, Clidella Graves, Rose Dixon, Marsha Janes and Sandy Rubel; ten Grand kids, fourteen Great Grandkids and one on the way.

He was preceded in death by his parents, mother, Dorothy Tibbs, brothers, Van Tibbs and Billy Tibbs, sisters Lou Clark and Jeanie Borah, and granddaughter, Pamela Heath.

Services for Charles H. "Hank" Tibbs were held at the Summers Kistler Funeral Home in Clay City with burial in Clay City Cemetery with full military honors.

Visitation and a Masonic Service was held at the Summers Kistler Funeral Home in Clay City.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shiners Children's Hospital.
