Mrs. Florence Ellen Brown, 78, of 425 Highland Ave., Kittanning, died at 9:05 a.m. yesterday in Armstrong County Memorial Hospital, after a brief illness. Mrs. Brown was a member of Faith United Presbyterian Church, Kittanning. Born Oct. 4, 1905, in Butler County, she was the daughter of Clark and Jessie Smith Selfridge. Her husband, Daniel Brown, died in 1969. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. James (Mary June) McCanna of Kittanning; two sons, Ora Brown of St. Cloud, Fla., and Daniel Brown of Kittanning; a brother, John Selfridge of Butler; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Two brothers and three sisters preceded her in death. BROWN-Friends of Mrs. Florence Ellen Brown of 425 Highland Ave., Kittanning, who died Monday, Jan. 16, 1984, will be received at the J.R. Kennedy Funeral Home, 253 N. Grant Ave., Kittanning, from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday from the funeral home, with the Rev. A.R. Kaufman, pastor of Faith United Presbyterian Church, Kittanning, officiating. Burial will be in Kittanning Cemetery. Arrangements by Kennedy.
