Chilean actress and singer. Born Maria Martha Esther Aldunate Del Campo, Serrano appeared in only eight films, all European, including Saison in Salzburg (1952). She recorded many songs in multiple languages, including German and Swedish as well as Spanish and English. In 1943 during Nazi rule in Germany, she was accused of being a spy after participating in a benefit for Jewish refugees while on tour in Sweden, and she fled Europe for Chile; her music was banned by the Nazis after this. One of her more famous recordings in English is the song "I Love Men," from the 1950s.
