Double Funeral Held
Double funeral services for father and daughter, Marion Collett and
Mrs. Pearl Sylvester, were conducted this afternoon at 2 o'clock at Duggan's' Merrill mortuary. The services were under the auspices of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and included sacred numbers sung by the church
choir.
Burial was side by side in Mount Moriah cemetery. Marion Collett died late Friday at his home, 238 New street, following a long illness. The daughter died at a local hospital a few hours later after she became suddenly ill shortly after completing funeral arrangements for her father. Her home was at 713 Placer street.
The mortuary was crowded with friends. Pallbearers for Mr. Collett
were William Miller. William Morgan. Kenneth Middleton. Peter
Tomls, Nick Veloea and Francis McGillvery. Laurin Paxson. William Davis,Emmet Carney. James Purcell. Lando Edwards and Charles Collins were
paiibearers for Mrs. Sylvester
