June J. Grace, 68, of Henderson, passed away Thursday, Sept. 27, 2012. She was born December 17, 1943, in Pike County, Ky., to Carl and Gerna Anderson.

June Juanita Anderson left Kentucky at the age of 18 to join her sister in San Diego. A 49-year resident of Las Vegas, she moved to Las Vegas in 1963 and was married shortly thereafter to Delbert Grace, with whom she raised two sons and remained with until his death in 2007.

She was employed in the casino industry as a pit supervisor at The Sands and the Venetian hotels for over 20 years. June will be best remembered by her family and wealth of friends for her kind heart, caring nature, strong spirit and her strong commitment and devotion to her family and friends.

She was an extraordinary cook, loved to entertain and gladly opened her household ... as well as her heart, to all that knew her. She was greatly loved and will be missed but never forgotten.

June was preceded in death by her son, Eric Grace; husband, Delbert Grace; parents, Carl and Gerna Anderson; sister, Helen Short; and brothers, Ralph, Bruce, James David, Raymond and Harold Anderson. Memorial services will be at noon Friday, Oct. 5, at Davis Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Burial following at Davis Memorial Park.
