Minnie Virginia (Horn) Case was born on August 29, 1909 in the Hill County community of Yates, near Whitney, Texas to James Howell Horn and Minnie Virginia Clark. Minnie was the 9th of 10 children born to Howell and Minnie. Minnie spent her childhood in Hill and Bosque County, Texas. On August 10, 1931 Minnie married Dan Case in Bosque County. Minnie and Dan had two children; Danny Leon and Avonda Ann. Minnie was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Dan and both of her children. She was survived by two grandchildren; Shawn Buckner and Tommy Case and four great grandchildren.

Minnie was the last surviving child of Howell and Minnie Horn. She had celebrated her 103rd birthday in August. Minnie was interviewed by the Waco Tribune and her photo was in the paper marking her birthday. Minnie looked forward to the Horn-Veteto Family reunion every year. She loved all of her nieces and nephews.
