GREEN COUNTY KENTUCKY OBITUARY – 1972
Mr. Mark Bennett, son of the late Mr. Bales Bennett & Mrs. Vensie Reynolds Bennett, was born December 2, 1893 in Green Co. and departed this life at 6:10 p.m. at St. Joseph Infirmary in Louisville Tuesday, December 12, 1972. He was 79 years of age. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Aetna Grove Baptist Church at the time of his death. He had served as a Sunday school teacher for a number of years. He united in marriage to Miss Beulah McCubbin April 3, 1915 and she preceded him in death August 31, 1964. To this union was born 1 daughter, Mrs. Lillian Wright, Summersville. Mr. Bennett is also survived by: 1 sister, Mrs. Lula Poore, Buffalo; 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were at the Cowherd & Parrott Funeral Home at 1 p.m. Thursday, December 14, 1972 at the Aetna Grove Baptist Church with burial in the Aetna Grove Cemetery. Rev. Billy Compton officiated. Pallbearers: Ronnie Marcum, Wilbert Bennett, Arlene Bennett, Everett McCubbin, Gene McCubbin and Clarence Gardner.
