After a prolonged illness Olive Gertrude, the beloved wife of Dr. H. C. Cooney, passed away from earth last Thursday afternoon. On the 23rd of February she gave birth to a boy child, and from that time until the end came her life trembled in the balance. The most devoted care and attention on the part of her husband, relatives and friends, and the best medical skill obtainable prolonged her existence, but death claimed her at last.

Funeral services were held at the residence of Mr. Benjamin Soule, Sunday afternoon, Rev. Mr. Langrell of the M. E. church, officiating, assisted by the choirs of the M.E. and Congregational churches. The Sisters of Pythias, Calla Temple No. 3, attended in a body, K. of P . lodge No. 93 was represented by almost its full membership, and Princeton Lodge No. 208, I. O. O. F., also attended in a body. Although there was a drenching rain falling at the time the procession that accompanied the remains to the cemetery was the largest ever seen in Princeton. The services at the grave by the Sisters of Pythias were beautiful and impressive. Among the numerous relatives and friends from abroad who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Persons and Mrs. St. John, of Stillwater, Mr. and Mrs. Dingman, of Sault Ste Marie, Mr. Tom Cooney, of Helena, Mont., and Miss Minnie Stoyell, of Minneapolis.

Deceased was the youngest and best beloved daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Soule. She was born in Princeton, July 14, 1868. She received a liberal education at the St. Cloud Normal school and Hamline University. She was happily wed to Dr. H. C. Cooney, Oct.16,1888. Her motherless babe survives her. The bereaved husband and parents have the sympathies of the entire community.

RESOLUTIONS OF CONDOLENCE.
Calla Temple No. 3, Pythian Sisters, at the last regular meeting, adopted the following resolutions:
WHEREAS, The angel of death has for the first time entered our Temple, and chosen for its victim our beloved sister, Past M. of T. and Trustee of Temple, Olive G. Cooney, daughter of Sister Phoebe M. Soule, therefore be it Resolved, That Calla Temple No. 3, P. S., has lost a cheerful member, a zealous worker and devoted officer; and
Resolved, That in her demise the Temple suffers the loss of a sister, who even unto death was wedded to its interest,and whom we mourn in silence,and bow submissively to the will of the
Great Shepherd: and
Resolved, That this memorial be spread upon the records of the Temple, and that our charter be draped for thirty days; that a copy of these resolutions be furnished the village paper, and the Pythian Sisters Tidings; also that a copy be transmitted to the bereaved husband and family as a faint expression of our grief and of our sympathy with them in their affliction.

The following resolutions were adopted at the regular meeting of the K. P.lodge No. 93, on Tuesday evening.
WHEREAS, It has pleased the Supreme Ruler of the universe to remove from this life Olive Gertrude Cooney, one near and dear to our beloved brethren, Henry C. Cooney and Smith N. Soule'; therefore be it
Resolved, That the members of Princeton Lodge No. 93, Knights of Pythias, do sincerely sympathize with their brethren in their bereavement, and while we feel that that words are poor and weak to express our sorrow at this their affliction, yet we hope by our conduct, so far as possible, to assuage the pangs of grief, and cause them to
feel that they are not left desolate;
Resolved, That a copy of these resolutions be sent to the bereaved brothers,
spread upon the records of the lodge and printed in the Princeton UNION.
