The Rev. Julian Resch, O.Praem, will officiate with burial in the convent
cemetery.
Sister Anthony, nee Julianna Bollenbeck, was born March 23, 1891, at Ashton, Wis.,
daughter of the late Matthias and Gertrude Riphahn Bollenbeck. She entered the
Order of Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity in 1907 and professed her vows
in 1915. Sister Anthony served the community as a teacher at Oshkosh, Potosi,
Rice Lake, Kaukauna and Sturgeon Bay, Wis., Petoskey, Manistique, Escanaba and
Ironwood, Mich., and West Point, Neb. In 1956 she became blind and retired to
Holy Family Convent where she made close to 30,000 Rosaries.
Survivors include a brother, Arnold Bollenbeck, of Middleton, Wis., and a sister,
Mrs. Jacob Zander, of Cross Plains, Wis.
Friends may call at the convent from 5 to 9 0.m. Wednesday and Thursday morning
until the time of service. Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, is in charge of
funeral arrangements.
