Sister M. Claudia, 89, died Tuesday evening at Holy Family Hospital,
Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Friday at Holy Family Convent
Chapel, Alverno. The Rev. Ronald Kirk, O. Praem, will officiate and
burial will be in the convent cemetery.
Sister M. Claudia, Christine Bollenbeck, was born Sept. 17, 1876, at
Cross Plains, Wis., daughter of the late Peter and Clara Riphahn
Bollenbeck. She entered the convent at Alverno July 15, 1897, and
took her final vows with the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity
Aug. 8, 1900. Sister M. Claudia had been a laundress at Holy Family
Hospital for more than 40 years.
She is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Herbert Bowar and Mrs. Mamie
Haack, of Pine Bluff, Wis., and Sister M. Sylvia, of Holy Family
Convent.
Friends may call at the convent chapel from 2 to 5 p.m. and from 7
to 9 p.m. Thursday.
