Adell Nina (Ball) McDonald, 97 of Antlers, Oklahoma a former resident of McAlester, OK Died September 29, 2012 at a nursing center in Antlers, Oklahoma. A graveside service was 1:00 p.m. Thursday, October 4, 2012 at Oak Hill Cemetery, McAlester, OK. Born to William and Verdie (Reeves) Ball September 7, 1915 in McAlester, Oklahoma. She graduated from McAlester High School. She married Hugh Virgil McDonald February 9, 1935. She worked at the Navy Ammunition Depot during World War II and then as an accountant for area law firms. Adell then traveled as a pentecostal evangelist with her husband Rev. McDonald for several years. She enjoyed playing piano and enjoyed stenciling, sewing and was an excellent seamstress. "The Kind of Person I Was" I craved nothing for myself. I wanted to give and not receive. I wanted all for my family. I tried to live the life God wanted me to live and not complain about things. He always knew our needs. I tried to be the best wife and best mother to my children. All of them came first in my life. God was my keeper in health. Trust and Believe in Him and He will always be there when you need Him. He was for me all my years I wish I could have been with my grandchildren more but miles kept us apart. I love all of them so much. Survived by, Daughter, JoAnn Scott of Nashoba, Okalhoma, Sons, Charles W. McDonald and wife, Becky ofTuttle, Oklahoma, Jimmy McDonald and wife, Beverly of Bonham, Texas, Grandchildren, Rebecca Webb and husband, Calvin, Galon Scott and wife, Melody, Sabrina Plog and husband, Jody, Chuck McDonald and wife, Shay, Terry Wilkerson, Paul Andrew McDonald, Michael McDonald, Chris McDonald and wife, Tina. Numerous great grandchildren and several cousins and other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Verdie Ball; her husband, Hugh V. McDonald August 15, 1997; a son, Paul David McDonald and a brother, Paul Ball. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Calvin Webb, Charles McDonald, Jimmy McDonald, Marlin Brinkmin, and Ron Scott, Galon Scott.
