Centerfield, Utah - Our beloved husband, father, grandfather and step-grandfather, Adrean Jay "Curley" Kenney, age 85, passed away in Centerfield, Utah on September 29, 2012 after a valiant battle with Alzheimers Disease.

He was born August 17, 1927 in Gunnison, Utah, the sixth of seven children born to Leo Amasa and Sarah Mable Levie Kenney. The family moved to the Cove, at the mouth of the canyon just south of the town of Sevier, then back to Gunnison, then Salt Lake City, Orem and finally back to Gunnison.

Adrean married Joyce Beatrice Iverson in 1949 and lived in Orem. They had four children: Calvin Jay, Adrean Lee, Beverly Joy and Susan Dawn Kenney. They were later divorced. He was married to Helen Mae Swasey for about two years and they divorced. He married Alberta Elva Cox Taylor and she brought three children to their marriage, Dale Lynn Hunsaker, Linda Carol Hunsaker and Elva Marie Taylor. They were later divorced.

Adrean worked on the railroad in the round house in Salt Lake City, as a truck driver, a carpenter and a general laborer. He loved hunting and fishing and most of all just camping. He liked to travel and go for rides in the mountains.

Adrean loved his family very much, but he was one that couldn't show his feelings very well, but if anything happened to anyone of his children, he would really be shaken by it.

He is survived by his children: Elva Marie Taylor of Gunnison; Linda Carol and Jon Burt of Richfield; Dale Lynn and Kelly Hunsaker of Redmond; Calvin Jay and Valerie Kenney of Pleasant Grove; Susan Dawn and Lee Devy of Alpine; 20 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren with one on the way and 1 great-great-grandchild on the way, too.

He is preceded in death by two children: Adrean Lee Kenney and Beverly Joy Kenney, who both died as babies; his parents; five brothers and one sister: Delmar Leo Kenney, Fred Amasa Kenny, Rex Loran Kenney, Junior Dale Kenney, Raldon Cline "Buck" Kenney and Ruth Ganeal Kenney.

Grave side services will be held Friday, October 5, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. in the Gunnison City Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
