Sister Paulette Beer, age 91, of the Holy Family Convent, Manitowoc,
died Saturday, December 26, 1992, at Holy Family Convent, Manitowoc.
Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 29, 1992, at
the Holy Family Convent Chapel. Officiating the Mass of Christian Burial
will be the Rev. Samuel D. Jadin, O.Praem, with burial in Holy Family
Cemetery.
She was born Rose Elizabeth on March 4, 1901, in Petoskey, Mich.,
daughter of the late John and Anna Kirchner Beer. She entered the
convent on October 19, 1916, professing her vows on August 10, 1920.
Sister earned a B.A. Degree from St. Norbert College DePere, Wis. She
was employed as an elementary school teacher in Antigo, Rhinelander,
Manitowoc, Whitelaw, Kaukauna, Algoma, Reedsville, Green Bay and
Appleton, Wis.; Woodsfield, Ohio; Lindsay and West Point, Neb.;
Ironwood, Manistique and Menominee, Mich. She is a member of the
Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity. After her retirement from
active ministry, Sister Paulette resided at St. Philip Convent, Green
Bay, and Holy Family Convent, Manitowoc.
Survivors include the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity, nephews,
nieces, other relatives and friends. Friends may call at the Holy Family
Convent, Manitowoc, from 4-8 p.m. this evening, where a prayer service
will be held at 7 p.m. at the Holy Family Convent Chapel.
The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, assisted the family with funeral
arrangements.
