Inez P. Childs, 75, of 601 N. Chilson Street passed away Thursday afternoon at General Hospital following a brief illness. She was born in Midland, Michigan on Nov. 11, 1894 and had been a resident of Pinconning and Bay City for the past 44 years. Her husband Joseph, predeceased her in January, 1963. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Francis (Sarah) Eckerd and Mrs. William (Roberta) Gregory both of Bay City; on son, Edwin Childs of Pinconnign; 17 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. William (Lola) McLean of Bay City and Mrs. Ruby Cleaver of Saginaw; two brothers, Edwin Cole of Loveland, Calif. and Roy Cole of City. Mrs. Childs was a member of the Tillie Rebekah Lodge No. 49. The funeral service will be held Monday afternoon from the Stapish Funeral Home. The hour will be announced in Saturday's paper. Friends may call at the Stapish Funeral Home after 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon.
