Wife of Francis F. Eckerd passed away early Thursday afternoon, June 24, 1982 at the Bay Medical Center. Age 65 years. Sarah Mae Childs was born April 14, 1917 in Paw Paw, Michigan and was a member of the West Baptist Church and the Women of the Moose Chapter No. 367. Mrs. Eckerd was retired from the Bay Medical Center. Surviving besides her husband, she leaves 4 sons and 3 daughters: Frank, Russell, Mrs. Robert (Lillie) Keller and Miss. JoAnn Eckerd all of Bay City; Clifford of Tawas City; Richard of Auburn and Mrs. Allen (Ruth) Butzin of Lindwood. 16 grandchildren adn 2 great grandchildren. Also 1 brother and 1 sister: Edwin Childs and Mrs. William (Roberta)Gregory both of Bay City. Mrs. Eckerd was predeceased by 2 Children: Mary Lou and Lawrence E. and a grandson: Franklin Eckerd. Funeral services will take place Sunday, June 27, 1982 at 1:00 p.m. at the Squires Funeral Home. Rev. Kenneth L Hoard will officiate with burial in Heavenly Rest Cemetery, Kawkawlin. Those planning a expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorials to the Michigan Heart Assoc. Women of the Moose Chapter No. 367 will conduct a Lodge of Sorrow at 7:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
