Freddie Mahler, youngest son of Ferdinand and Mary (Brunell) Mahler, died November 16, 1909, after a painful illness of six weeks.
He was first taken with peritonitis, then jaundice and a disease of the mouth and other diseases, causing much pain till death relieved the little sufferer.
Besides his father and mother he leaves three brothers aud four sisters, his oldest sister being his constant and faithful nurse. They miss him very much, as he was an active little fellow scarcely more than a baby, seven and a half years old.
The funeral was held at the home, Rev. Schwartzman officiating. He was buried in the Muller cemetery beside his grandfather and grandmother and a little sister who died several years ago.
