Mr. Homer Russell Baird, age 69 of Dallas, died Monday August 20, 2012 at his residence.

Mr. Baird was born March 31, 1943 in Newcomb, Tennessee the son of the late Travis Baird and Jeanette Perkins Baird. He was a United States Veteran having retired from The Air Force as a Aircraft Mechanic with over 30 years of service. Mr. Baird was a member of Life Gate Church in Villa Rica. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.

Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Helene Hosak Baird, daughters and sons-in-law, Kim and Dwayne Pace, Dallas, Tina and Dr. Win Burnett, Villa Rica, Amanda and Josh Pruitt, Dallas, grandchildren, Kelli Pace, Dallas, Michael Pace, Dallas, Victoria Pace, Dallas, Austin Burnett, Villa Rica, and Justin Burnett, Villa Rica, sisters, Shirley Marsh, Middlesburg, FL, Rosalie Buchanan, Ferndale, Michigan, brother, Ohlen Baird, Sterling Heights, Michigan, and several nieces and nephews also survive.


Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday August 23, 2012 at 11 o'clock from J. Collins Funeral Home with Rev. Brad Fussell officiating

Interment will follow the service at 2 P.M. in The Georgia National Cemetery with Full Military Honors
