Graveside services for Mr. Dennis Lee Burns, 59 of Gary, Texas will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, September 30, 2012 at the Mt. Bethel Cemetery in Gary with Bro. Michael Hodge officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Hawthorn Funeral Home. Mr. Burns passed away September 27, 2012 at his home in Gary. Mr. Dennis Lee Burns was born September 1, 1953 in Jasper, Texas. He was one of seven children born to the marriage of Earnest Lee and Gladney Downing Burns, Jr. Dennis was a pipeline worker for many years and had a passion for working on cars. He is preceded in death by his father, Mr. Burns is survived by his mother Gladney Burns of Carthage; spouse, Robin French of Gary; children, Chantel Allen and husband Octavian of Carthage, Ashley Bryant of Seattle, WA and Darwin Bryant of Seattle, WA; siblings, Danny Burns and wife Jina of Huntington, Betty Burns of Carthage, Donny Burns and wife Christine of Carthage, Daniel Burns of Gary, Angela Ellis of Carthage, Darrell Burns and wife Annie of Kernes; five grandchildren; numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
